About Goleta Beach

Goleta Beach is a beach in Goleta, California. Goleta is next to the city of Santa Barbara. Goleta Beach was created in 1945 when sand was added to an existing sand spit.

There is plenty to do at Goleta Beach. The beach has a long stretch of sand next to a grassy area. There are areas for swimming, sunbathing and fishing. People who want exercise can play volleyball or walk along a trail near the beach. Those who have worked up an appetite exercising have several options for eating. The beach has grills and a grassy area for picnics. Visitors can buy food at a snack bar or the Beachside Bar Café. The café serves seafood for lunch and dinner.

Visitors to Goleta Beach can choose from several types of cuisine at restaurants within a mile and a half of the beach. The Habit Burger Grill serves burgers and milkshakes.
